We have great dressage, hunter and eventing prospects. We use Trakehners in our breeding program. Most horses competing at the top levels have a high percentage of Trakehner. (Morelands Totilas, the WEG 2010 winner in dressage is almost 80% Trakehner).

A sporthorse stallion used in this year's crop is the German-bred, Verband-approved Trakehner Grafenstolz. Graf is a world eventing CHAMPION from Germany. He was selected by the German Trakehner Verband to be sponsored as they recognized his caliber early on. He carries the designation TSF behind his name. Of significance, Michael Yung, the 2010 WEG eventing winner rode Grafenstolz to all three of his Championships. Grafenstolz' foals old enough to compete are already making their mark, winning several National level events in Europe, including the Stuttgart Masters.
We have bred Graf to our ATA PSB approved Thoroughbred mare (Wildwood Mahogany) and a OSB Trakehner mare (Poeme). Poeme delivered stillborn twins. Wildwood Mahogany delivered a stunning bay colt.
For the rest of our 2011 foal crop we have used imported Trakehner bloodlines. Hilario, our Canadian-born, now 4-year-old Trakehner carries both jumping and dressage lines. His sire, Hadrian, out of an Elite mare, had a successful jumping career and then did quite well in dressage. We test-bred Hilario with a few quarter horse mares and one Trakehner mare. The quarter horse-Trakehner cross works very well in the hunter discipline and eventing. Our Trakehner mare had a spectacular foal by Hilario, even though she was born a little larger than desired, 130 pounds and 42 inches tall!

Cost Saving Tip: You can purchase a foal at a lower cost than a mature sporthorse and we will offer board at a reduced rate. This works out well for people living in high density areas where board is high. Ask about our boarding rates for young horses.
